Mission and Vision

Mission

Editorial Mar Caribe (EMC) is an entity that continuously publishes peer-reviewed books under the double-blind method, promoting the interdisciplinarity of authors. This activity has been carried out with the support of non-governmental institutions since November 21, 2021, without interruptions. EMC presents books that are considered novel, with a statement of originality, reflecting the direct opinions of the authors and not necessarily those of the editorial board. Its main objective is to publish research results carried out by academics from public and/or private universities, thus supporting scientific progress. It also welcomes independent researchers, regardless of their qualification in the national science system of the country of origin.

Vision

To be a national and international benchmark in the publication of interdisciplinary works in Latin America and the Caribbean, maintaining high standards of quality and methodological rigor. The publishing house is aimed at researchers, teachers, students and academic audiences at various levels, as well as the scientific community in general and those involved in educational activities.

Objectives

The scientific evaluation of research at Editorial Mar Caribe aims to disseminate scientific and technical knowledge through original results and research products that favor the development of science and technology. It includes works, calculation reports and theoretical reflections that, due to their sociocultural context, deserve to be published, contributing to make intellectual creativity visible in an interdisciplinary framework.

Scope

It seeks to guarantee the quality, objectivity and ethics in the publication of the books resulting from research, which are evaluated by external peer reviewers under the double-blind system, linked to public universities and considered experts in the topics addressed in the documents to be evaluated. The books are published under an open access model, free of embargo or membership charges, both to readers and authors, to contribute to reducing the digital divide between Ibero-American countries.
