DAIN-NBN

As part of our mission to foster new modalities of data research projects, Editorial Mar Caribe’s Data for Research (DAIN) program is dedicated to providing open research data repository, to facilitate the identification, verification, and reuse of research results from published works (academic articles, research books, reports,  manuals, decrees, regulations, dissertations and brochures available) on the web, and make them persistent over time. This effort aims to facilitate both textual analysis and research in the digital humanities, a field that has grown significantly in recent years thanks to technological advancement.

Through this program and NBN Resolver (National Bibliographic Number), we offer the cataloguing and persistent identification of data (runs, output, dashboard, etc.) that do not have an identifier assigned by other publishers or national libraries, such as the ISBN. They can be used to identify multimedia material archived in national libraries, such as doctoral theses. In a context where the influence of data is indisputable, DAIN is established as an essential tool for academics, researchers and students interested in deeply exploring the vast sea of information available.

The possibility of accessing this data not only improves the research process but also opens new avenues towards a more enriching critical understanding and interpretation through various analytical methodologies. Currently, DAIN represents a flagship project within Editorial Mar Caribe and efficiently handles requests related to research data. Our team works diligently to ensure that each researcher has access to the necessary resources that not only enhance their intellectual work but also contribute to collective knowledge within their specific areas.

In this framework, technology plays a crucial role; It facilitates the collection, storage and exhaustive analysis of large volumes of data, which significantly increases both the accuracy and relevance of the results obtained. We are continually looking for innovations to improve the publishing services of the publisher and other sister publishers, thus ensuring that researchers always have up-to-date tools relevant to their work. In this way, our impact transcends the present, laying solid foundations towards a future where research in digital humanities is more accessible, dynamic and intensely enriching. Data for Research (DAIN) goes beyond simply being a program; is an invitation to the authors and non-authors of Editorial Mar Caribe to revolutionize how we understand, process and use data information within the academic field.

Define and request datasets for content in Editorial Mar Caribe. Ask for advice for analysis of a sample dataset and/or text mining techniques or request a large dataset for intensive research. If you wish to participate in the systematization of your data, you can send a formal request via the email:
